JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Conducting periodical editorial meetings, generating story ideas for each issue; and assisting and monitoring the editorial staff in meeting their deadlines.

2. Doing cover stories (rotationally) and other articles as per the monthly editorial meeting.

3. Ensuring that the editorial team delivers on time as per the editorial agenda.

4. Editing, re-writing and vetting articles with particular emphasis on language correctness and in-house style aspects

5. Maintaining the Voyager’s World website, with regular updating of articles on the site. Responsible for driving traffic for the website through real-time uploading of stories on social media such as Linked In, Twitter and Facebook and other link-building activities.

6. Selecting the articles and prioritizing the same for the weekly e-newsletter of Voyager’s World and assigning to the editorial team.

7. Overseeing the layout, artwork, photography, overall appearance and content of the magazine. Proofreading and finalizing all pages before going to press.

8. Ensuring content quality and making sure that the articles are factually correct and error-free.

9. Coordinating with the advertising dept for advertisements for each issue.

Sphere Travelmedia & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore is looking to urgently recruit a senior PR professional with 5-8 years of experience. Individuals having strong media relations, both locally and across India, preferably with experience in Travel sphere will be desirable, though not essential. The person will be heading a team of 3 executives and will be exclusively manage a key client relationship.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Need to have strong Media Relations with local as well as national media, electronic and digital media. It is also desirable if the person has good relations with Travel media.

2. Knowledge of Press briefing and ability to organize a Press Conference

3. He/ She is expected to engage with senior executivesfrom the Client organization on a regular basis; discus and plan, manage and implement PR campaigns and events. He/ She is therefore expected to , be a strategic thinker and drive out-of- the box initiatives.

4. He/ She is expected to have excellent command over English as well as proficient in Kannada, both spoken as well as written and is and able to draft Press Release
